We traveled to Mexican Water in search of members. Mostly a long expanse of nothing, and a geologists delight. The cafe in Mexican Water is quite good however if you ever find yourself traveling that way. The Tuba City Stake is trying to get people around here to plant gardens. To show them how it's done they dug up our back yard. They add a lot of sawdust and other humus to the soil along with fertilizer. Then they fence the whole thing to keep the animals out. A drip water system is installed to decrease the amount of water needed. All this will be supplied by the church if someone will do the work of caring for the garden. The church would like to see the people here a little more self-
sufficient . The last picture is a trail ride on
Veteran's Day- the Navajo are very patriotic.
